About the Artists

Borrn in Los Angeles, California, I grew up surrounded by my mother’s paintings, as she is an accomplished artist. But I followed in my father’s footsteps, who was an aerospace engineer, and devoted my life to research and teaching. After 20 years as an Associate Professor in Immunology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, I am now following in my mother’s footsteps, pursuing my passion for artistic expression. I have participated in workshops in Los Angeles, CA and Birmingham, AL. I enjoy painting in oils en plein air, figurative art, and portraits (pets and people-commissions). I recently received awards from the Central Alabama Artist Guild, and I’m also a member of the Alabama Plein Air Artists.
