A native of Southwest Georgia, Carrie has spent her life adoring both the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts. Long before moving to Fairhope, AL, she developed a fascination with the native coastal plants and animals she so often uses as subject matter. Finding it nearly impossible to walk away from a painting without adding a special touch of collage, she develops surface texture through
collaged papers, fabrics, and other natural materials.
